We were briefed with giving Mayfield Coaching and Consultancy an identity to go alongside their new website. The requirements were:
Must include purple and green colours. It would also be nice to include reference to the local area’s (Walkley, Sheffield) rolling-hills and possibly lavender the wild flower.
Our journey started with looking up a few of the local businesses and how they use the area’s references to their advantage.
From here we got a few sketches to start the process off with, referring back to the clients requirement for hills and lavender.
We created several variants on this as a result and (probably) gave to many over to the client for pre-selection.
The client decided a combination of the two isolated (highlighted in red) would become the working design.
With a few revisions we confirmed the clients comments, specifying the desired result. WE then went on to create a few lockup’s to bulk up the logo assets and give the client greater scope with potential usage.
We also provided a wider selection of mono-lockups, of which there are a few samples here.
